What is Educational Technology?

Educational technology has been around for quite some time now. Ed-tech has been assisting many teachers and learners with various concepts. Some of the tools used in learning consist of computers, tablets, phones, the latest VR (virtual reality) trend, and other technologies. In other words, ed tech is using digital tools and resources that support or assist already existing curriculums. This creates a new way for learners to express their understanding rather than the traditional paper and pencil method (J. Lathan, 2022).

However, this topic always brings out two sides, pessimists, and optimists. In other words, there are positive and negative aspects when looking into the current and future of educational technology (A. Collins & R. Halverson†, 2010).
